iQcotton Exhibits at SaxArt in Saxapahaw!
iQcotton is celebrating the opportunity to display the framed print representation of a new textile series soon to be announced in the "Fabulous Fibers: A Fashion and Fiber Faire" exhibit at SaxArt over the month of October in Saxapahaw, North Carolina!
If you're in or near the area, we hope you'll stop in to enjoy the displays and to support the efforts of the member artists whose goal is to showcase local and regional artists and to highlight the town as a growing creative and cultural arts community!
New exhibits are featured each month among a diversity of mediums and subject matter with artist receptions help on the 1st Friday of each month from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.

Solace of the Blue Desert at Midnight

Solace of the Blue Desert at Midnight is the print representation of a textile series among the collaborative product lines
of iQcotton and Luminous Moon Studios, each of which is accompanied by a poetic narrative. The artists have juxtaposed the creation of tension and its release - designed to both capture and set free the imagination of the viewer. The intangible mystery of infrared photography which sees beyond the spectrum of light visible to the human eye adjoins the touch and texture of the artist's brush to handpainted cloth. Soothing cool blues positioned next to black, white and luminescing grays contrast with the warm earthen hues we expect to see in the rugged desert, and transport the viewer beyond what can be seen in the physical world to what can only be seen by the soul.
